Oh.. PLAN:
We pitch money and give Shaul what he needs to sign a new VJOY. That way everyone who uses VJoy will be able to update. How can we go about doing this?

Thanks for your efforts rtb, i managed to get it running with the integrity checks off but it can't run when i turn the checks back on, and with integrity checking turned off i can't run easy anticheat so iracing won't launch (i'm using vjoy with irffb)
i'll keep an eye on this forum (unless there's a better place to check for updates?) - happy to donate too once it's running!

Compiled it this morning with vs2019.. only 3 things have to be changed. Very minimal. Just needs to be signed.

Cool! If we don't get the full amount either RTB can ask for the money or I will refund.
I just checked and he has a commit to driver.c which fixes the installer.. Just compiled and it works. Good work dude! My installer now works, I wonder if we can just add our self signed certificate to the Trusted Root CA store and then not be in test mode. Trying it now for fun.

Can this be installed/used without a code signing certificate? I've never installed anything from GitHub. At the moment I'm completely stuffed without vJoy as neither my Brunner joystick nor my Garmin button box will work without it.

Sorry - replied without realising I was only on page 1 of 5. Looks like there is a way to get it working in test signing mode. Very happy to make a donation when the time comes to reward the effort to get the certificates etc. Thank you for the work so far.

Yeah the problem with using the one that needs to have testing mode enabled, is that most anti-cheat software detects this and you are forced to turn it off and then reboot.

Wow, I can't believe it costs 700$ for a cert. Really lame of MS not allowing a discount for a hobby program.

The only way this gets signed is asking a company which has interest in signing it, the only one I can think of is Tobii. Their twitter: twitter.com/TobiiTechnologyOtherwise, say goodbye to vjoy.

Hey all, sorry I've been quiet. My old employer was too relunctant to sign it, not knowing the code personally etc. I don't blame him, he had a lot of money riding on his cert and couldn't afforf to have it pulled for any reason. I was just desperate. I have advised our court reporting business (we use vjoy for exceedingly outdated footpedal control, believe it or not) to just invest in new hardware. As such, I no longer have any money backing my efforts and am only interested in this like mosy of you: a fellow gaming user. I won't be doing much more as such, but feel free to fork my code of course. There is an effort underway to see if we can get something better than hacky testsigning involving a simple registry key and using thr original authors old, outdated key... but I am not a part of this. Still, you should pay attention to the following github issue for updates: github.com/shauleiz/vJoy/issues/30Sorry I could not be of more use, -RTB
