I know this is a bit of a long shot... I have a steel battalion controller and was wondering if it possible to have 10 axes setup on vJoy

The number of axes is limited by Windows to 8. However, the POVs are very similar to axes so might consider using them.

Hi Shaul, Very nice to see you here again !
I did not know about this 8 axes limitation in Windows. In the 2.2.1 I added 8 more axes (16 total). In the added axes, I put Wheel and other flight or driving pedal controls as optionnal axes. When enabling these axes and removing the first axes, vjoy can be seen as a driving controller instead of a joystick by directinput libs such as SharpDX. Still, only the 8 "joystick" axes were shown by Windows' joy.cpl, with the exception of the wheel axis. With SharpDx, I got only 8 axes reported and I had no idea why I cannot get more (the hid descriptor seems right). Interesting to know that this is an operating system limit! Best Benjamin

I have tried to use the continuous POV but it jumps about and does not center. When I had them set as axes they were fine. Where do you get version 2.2.1? The latest I see on the source forge sight is 2.1.9.1

Best Benjamin Thanks Benjamin, I still get a message when a post is posted. If I think I can help, I try to. I know the HID descriptor can host is not bound by this limit as it is not designed for a specific OS. However, AFAIK, Windows HID driver can support (Well, at least used to support) up to 8 Axes, 4 POVs and 128 buttons.

I put the "newer" versions on my github branch (look for njz3/vjoy on github) Justin is the one to thanks, as he gently signs these new builds. I am the one to blame/slap if you have a bug.
