Hey all,
I've been trying to get vjoy to detect my gcn adapter so I can use it with project 64. This is the adapter I'm using:
www.amazon.com/Gamecube-Controller-Adapter-Nintendo-USB-Easy/dp/B00VHB3RQ0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1545446996&sr=1-1&keywords=Wii+U+Gamecube+Controller+Adapter%2CYTEAM+Gamecube+NGC+Controller+Adapter+for+Wii+U%2CNintendo+Switch+and+PC+USB
So far I have followed steps to install the Wii U GCN USB Driver from the following website:
m4sv.com/page/wii-u-gcn-usb-driver
I have zadig downloaded as well. My computer automatically restarted after going through the steps in the tutorial, and then when it starts back up it just doesn't work. I can see my controller and the vjoy driver in the devices menu, so it seems to be there, it's just not recognizing it. I go to the controller and try to configure the settings, and while it shows only vjoy device for it, it doesn't respond at all.
What I think is most frustrating is that my controller did hook up before I installed anything -in the sense that I could configure it and see it move in the testing area (although it didn't work with project 64, hence this adventure that I'm on). I can't even seem to get it back to this initial spot after uninstalling and deleting all the vjoy and gamecube driver things.
Like I mentioned though, I think the main problem is that vjoy isn't detecting the adapter/controller. Although during my time troubleshooting I did see an error that said the controller may not work with 3.0 usb and requires 2.0 usb (it worked before though so I'm not sure what this is about).
I saw on another forum that you can check to see if the problem is vjoy by testing the vjoy monitor and vjoy feeder. This didn't seem to be responsive to any input from the controller, so my feeling is it does not work (the feeder reads vjoy feeder demo though, instead of vjoy feeder. I'm uncertain if this is important).
Thanks for taking the time to read, any help is much appreciated.
